Glenn Green Galleries, 505-820-0008, has represented Richard for sale of his fine art photographic prints since 2001. The gallery presents a rotating display of framed prints in various sizes, ranging from 8" x 12" to the impressive 40" x 50" prints produced from medium format transparencies. The Gallery and extensive sculpture garden are located in Tesuque, New Mexico, adjacent to Santa Fe. Additionally, the Gallery maintains displays on the grounds and throughout the buildings of The Phoenician resort and spa in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Richard produces fine art photographic prints using the finest quality archival materials. Prints are available in sizes from 8" x 12" to 40" x 50", with some images available as larger prints by custom order. Prints are made on the Durst Lambda system, which is among the most advanced digital printing systems in the industry today. The Lambda directly exposes light sensitive photographic paper (Duraflex®) using red, green and blue lasers, resulting in continuous tone prints. This system can produce a very sharp, deep, color saturated print.
Additionally, some of the images are available as Giclée type prints, produced on the Epson 9800 inkjet printer. Giclée is a French term meaning to spray or squirt, which is how an inkjet printer applies ink to the canvas or paper. These images are generated from high resolution digital files and printed with archival quality inks on fine art paper, photo paper or canvas. The result is a print that displays high color fidelity, sharpness, depth and texture.
Of course, the print making process begins when the photographer captures the image with the camera. Richard uses several camera systems. His medium format system is the Pentax 67II, which creates a 6cm x 7cm transparency. With 35mm film, he uses the Canon EOS-1v camera body and Canon’s excellent series of lenses. Digital technology has certainly revolutionized the imaging industry, and Richard now shoots the Canon EOS 5D camera body, with the Canon lenses. He also has a small Nikon 8800 compact type of digital camera, which is easy to carry and shoot in locations where a full camera system and backpack would be awkward. However, the maximum print size from this camera’s small sensor and small image files is limited, as compared to the 35mm or medium format camera systems.
